Owned by the Vauthier family, who also own Ch. Ausone, this large Saint-Emilion estate is the entry-point to the Vauthier range. It is an excellent introduction to the family’s wines and great value, offering an earlier-drinking style.

This Saint-Emilion estate dates back to the 16th century, once including the land that is now dedicated to Ch. Haut-Simard. When the railroad was built in the late 19th century, it divided the property in two, with Ch. Simard the name used for the majority of the estate, the larger swathe of land that lies to the south of the trainline.
