This estate has been producing better and better wines over recent vintages as evidenced by the plump, soft 2004. Savory notes of sweet cherries, caramel, and mocha are a hedonist’s delight. Although somewhat superficial, it is charming, sensual, and ideal for drinking over the next 6-8 years.

Bright crimson. Scented and rather gentle and round (not ‘pointy’ at all!) Good palate and build. (JR)
Very dark crimson. Sweet, rather simple nose but good attack and well managed tannins until the density of them on the back palate. Rather manipulated wine without much heart. (JR)
Perfumed and attractive, with plum and light toasty oak. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long finish. Slightly hollow midpalate, but I like this a lot just the same. Best after 2010. 12,500 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2007
