Le Carillon de l'Angelus, tried a fortnight after the En Primeur week, is a blend of 50% Merlot 50% Cabernet Franc. The nose has rich, concentrated black fruits and this translates onto the palate though with the tempering of new oak smmothing the edges and adding a hint of vanilla. The fruit character is very clean and linear yet this wine remains approachable now.
