Limestone. Silly price for a 2005. Deep and grunty nose. Real depth and race and with much more excitement than the Vila Bel Air 2006. Long and with great depth. And with more development to come. (JR)

Dark purplish crimson. Full-blooded ‘sophisticated rustic’, if one might use that expression. Pretty astringent tannins as though the wine were picked earlier rather than later, but very honest flavours. Needs a bit of time to soften. (JR)
