1998 du Cauze

This wine may turn out to be a sleeper of the vintage. It exhibits sweet toasty oak along with copious quantities of jammy black cherry fruit intermixed with floral, licorice, and roasted herb scents. Deep, medium to full-bodied, and rich, with good fat on the mid-palate, this is a hedonistic, gloriously exuberant, fruity wine to drink during its first 10-12 years of life.
