The 1993 Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra offers up truffle, earthy, spicy aromas accompanied by copious quantities of sweet black-cherry fruit. As the wine hits the palate, it has the tell-tale sweetness, ripeness, beautifully knit, well-etched, medium to full-bodied character of the vintage. Neither the acidity, tannin, nor alcohol are obtrusive in this pure, expansive, tasty, and complex Barolo. It should drink well for 10-12 years.
