2000 Martinens

An elegant, Burgundian-styled perfume of camphor and tangy red cherries is followed by a medium-bodied wine with ripe tannin, a sweet attack, a quick, hollow mid-palate, and a short finish. If more flesh and charm develop, it may merit a higher score, but at present, there is not a lot of substance to be found. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2012.
