Dom de Cambes is the second wine of Roc des Cambes, which was not made in 2011. The vineyards are side by side but not all the vines for this wine are within St-Émilion, which is why it is classified as AOC Bordeaux. Very sweet, vanilla-laced damson fruit on the nose. On the palate, cacao, dark chocolate and a definite bitterness undermining the whole. Really bitter. (JH)

Next to Roc de Cambes but not all the vines are in Bourg. Bright, lifted red-cherry fruit. A light chew, lots of freshness and nicely juicy. Dry, grainy tannins. Fresh overall and just a slight bitterness on the finish. Denser than Dom de l’Aurage but more rounded too. (JH)
