I found the 1986 Malescot to be herbaceous and cedary, but too light, and displaying the dilution caused by the enormous crop size. Perhaps a stricter selection would have resulted in a wine with both finesse and flavor. Anticipated maturity: Now-2001. Last tasted, 3/89.
