1994 d'Issan

Intense aromas of plums, pickles and tar. Full-bodied, with lots of tannins and a slightly dry finish. A bit overdone. Best after 1997. 12,000 cases made. Wine Spectator, 31 Jan 1997.

D'Issan's 1994 is a medium-bodied, moderately endowed wine with elegance, charm, crisp acidity, and a sense of compactness and compression. Some obtrusive tannin in the finish may be a problem in 7-8 years, as this wine does not appear to possess the necessary richness to balance out the structural components. It does offer charm and elegance in a light to medium-bodied style. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.|All of the wines in this segment were tasted between March 19 and March 28 in Bordeaux.
