The 1987 Talbot is a surprisingly tannic, tough-textured wine, but has a gorgeous nose of cedar and weedy, earthy black currants. Deep in color, with a good deal of tannin and medium body, this is a vintage that will keep for 10-15 years. Anticipated maturity: Now-2000. Last tasted, 11/90.
