Good deep red. Aromas of cherry and chocolate liqueur; smells like a caramelly truffle. Sweet, round and voluptuous, but with lovely acidity giving energy to the middle palate. Dense, lush and palate-staining wine with an almost chocolatey ripeness and terrific length. Richer and sweeter than it appeared to be from barrel a year ago.

(this one finished its malolactic fermentation last January and was racked in May) Good bright, dark red. Scented, nuanced nose offers wild raspberry, cocoa powder and a floral element; very Vosne. Suave and aromatic in the mouth, with a fine-grained texture; some herbal and peppery notes suggest a moderate level of ripeness. Shows some slightly drying oak tannins on the back.
