Deep gold (another colour problem from Verget – see his Bâtard) with a distinctly green nose that is so sour if is almost acetic, then on the palate there is mass and a certain sweetness. Grainy texture. Very long. This one probably stands a better chance of becoming a swan than the Bâtard ugly duckling. (JR)
