Like Ch Lamothe, this wine was hugely impressive on the palate but was let down by a lack of cleanliness on the nose. This time the suggestion was of wet wool. But if it manages to shake this off as a teenage aberration, the wine will be rich and layered and very rewarding. (JR)

This wine reveals considerable botrytis, and a monolithic, fat, somewhat disjointed personality. It does offer currant, coconut, and honeyed fruit, and medium to full body, but no focal point or potential complexity. It needs more time to reveal its true identity.
