Good full yellow with a gold tinge. Ripe aromas of apricot and honey. Large-scaled, silky and exotic, with a slightly phenolic character to the ripe apricot fruit. Impressively big but I wanted more definition, cut and complexity. Finishes with a suggestion of warmth.

Pale, bright yellow. Subtle, high-pitched aromas of apple, ginger, clove and flowers, with deeper peach and fresh apricot fruit notes. Rich, sweet and fruity but not a bit heavy. Not the last word in complexity but this broad, gentle midweight displays very good breadth and verve, and finishes with lovely fruit. Both this and the Corton-Charlemagne are made from a mix of estate and purchased fruit.
