2002 Batard Montrachet

Cool but thoroughly ripe aromas of pineapple, honey, white flowers, menthol and grilled nuts. Wonderfully large-scaled and layered but light on its feet. Po werful acidity gives it superb cut. A compelling expression of soil. Conveys a dusty, saline impression of strong extract. Almost tannic on the very long, expanding aftertaste. Very impressive.
