Pale color. Lemon, lime, mint, clove and crushed stone on the nose. Rich and pliant but at the same time juicy and powerful; this really resounds in the mouth and grips the palate on the aftertaste. Already showing some personality but needs bottle aging to expand.

(from a .12 ha parcel of vines on the Chassagne side planted in 1926 and abutting the parcelowned by the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti). A highly nuanced and layered nose frames elegant, expressive and denselyfruited white flower and peach aromas plus strikingly rich and powerful full-bodied flavors that possess so much dry extractthat like the Chevalier, this is almost painfully intense. The acid/fruit balance is especially impressive and despite the size andweight, like many examples in 2007, this is actually quite refined. In a word, marvelous. 95/2013+
Cloudy appearance due to the unabsorbed gas. Aromas of peach and clove, plus a hint of pineapple. Fat and rich, with nicely integrated acidity. The sweetest, densest and most concentrated of these '07s, and the longest on the back end. From a 1927 planting; in contrast, the Chevalier dates back to the early 1960s.
