2006 Batard Montrachet

White flowers and charred oak on the subtle nose. Concentrated, rich and complex; leesy but clean. Comes across as less exaggerated and less obviously sweet than the Criots; there's a honeyed richness here but no heaviness. Very dense, smooth wine with a very long aftertaste.
