Served blind. Very fresh, lively nose. Great balance and more acidity than the wine served alongside, which turned out to be a Littorai, The Haven Vineyard . Not obvious Grand Cru weight but perhaps that's the vintage. (JR)

Mid ruby. Pale rim. Real depth of candied violets on the nose. Lovely floral scents. Only medium weight but with a beautiful undertow of ripe fruit and supple tannins that makes for a wine that you could think of drinking already but would, I'm sure, be better off waiting for. Great precision, a light touch, bone dry, and flavours that really build towards the end so that the finish is the most exciting thing about the wine – a promising sign for the future. Lacy texture and beautiful balance. Far from massive, but what burgundy is all about. (JR)

Really compressed nose, but more generosity on the palate with fragrant oak and a really succulent red fruit. Soft tannins that nonetheless persist right through to the finish. Dark, serious – grows in the glass. (RH)
