Score 91/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound

A strikingly fresh nose mixes both white and yellow orchard fruit with floral, spice and hints of pain grillé. There is both good vibrancy and lovely delineation to the stony middle weight flavors that possess a textured mouth feel as well as a bit more overall complexity and persistence compared to the Truffière. This should amply reward 6 to 8 years of cellaring. Tasted: Jun 15, 2014. Drink: 2019+
