Score 92/100 · Drink 2014-2019, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Nov 2014

Gaja's 2012 Alteni di Brassica (Sauvignon) is rich, honeyed and nicely textured in this vintage. Apricot, chamomile, wild flowers and sage meld together in a supple, layered Sauvignon built on resonance. An expressive, creamy finish rounds things out nicely. The August heat is reflected in a big Sauvignon with a bit less brightness than is typically the case.
