Light grassiness on the nose, decent if unconcentrated black fruit. Waif-like. Soft tannins too, so entirely drinkable. (RH)

Sweet tobacco, mint, crushed flowers and anise lift from the glass in the 2013 Connetable de Talbot. Given its mid-weight structure, this silky, perfumed St. Julien appears best suited to near-term drinking.
