Tasting notes
Score 93/100 · Drink 2017-2027, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Oct 2015

Bottled with 14.2% alcohol and 6.5 grams of residual sugar, the 2012 Muscat Goldert Grand Cru (90% Muscat d'Alsace) shows a deep and intense bouquet of ripe stone fruits, grapefruit and minerals. Full-bodied, dry, powerful and very expressive on the palate, the wine is very well structured by its characteristic, almost austere limestone minerality and vivid, citrus-fresh acidity. More closed and tight than the 2013 at the moment of tasting (July 2015), but the crisp, almost tannic structure and aromatic Muscat finish give it a very good aging potential of ten and more years.
