Pale yellow color. Tight, high-pitched aromas of lemon and tangerine peel and stone. Dense, saline, tactile and deep, offering a fleshy quality but also piquant peppery lift to the flavors of orange juice and pineapple. Very aromatic and intense on the long aftertaste, finishing with a light touch. Shows the relative opulence of this old-vines cuvee but with lovely lingering floral perfume. A beauty.

A selection from Ormeaux of 100-year-old vines which belong to Marie-Odile’s father, Thevenot. Were replaced from 1999. But Arnaud planted all the younger vines and picks them separately. In 2011 he made 600 litres for 5 ouvrées. Average yield is under 30 hl/ha. Very dense and impressive. Great blend of richness and tension even better than the wines before. Not at all severe but with great intensity and tension. Very long. (JR)

Pale yellow. Nose dominated by flowers and gingery spice. Rich and moderately fleshy on entry, then chewy and sappy in the middle, with excellent lemony cut and tangy acidity leavening the wine's rich texture ("always an opulent style among my wines," notes Ente). Finishes minerally and impressively long.
