Tasted blind. Dark crimson. Very sweet start. Then tight and taut. Really not much pleasure. Tough inky stuff. (JR)

Ruby/purple-tinged and showing well, this Haut-Médoc displays plump berry fruit as well as notes of cedar, underbrush and spice box. It is medium-bodied and relatively sweet, but has ripe tannins in a very up-front, forward, consumer-friendly style. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.

Some suggestion of burnt, macerated fruit on the nose. Very sweet palate entry and then not that much concentration. Harsh tannins. Over extracted? (JR)
