Score 88/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Neal Martin, Jan 2019

The 2012 Baron de Brane has an expressive bouquet that is equally divided between red and black fruit, all well defined; hints of dark chocolate and leather develop in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin; not overtly complex, but there is satisfying depth and grip toward the slightly meaty finish. Drink this now and over the next four to five years. Tasted at the Brane-Cantenac vertical at the château .
