The 2014 Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese displays a stunningly clear, precise and mineral, flinty-flavored bouquet with lemon oil flavors on pure stones. This is a weightless, bright and finesse-full Auslese that tastes as piquant and refreshing in its bright citrus flavors as a candied grapefruit. Absolutely beautiful and elegant, and so long, stimulatingly pure and salty. Great, great Riesling!

Heady but introvert and shy on the nose though it seems quite intense with lots of extract. Beautifully precise, pure but opulently ripe fruit on the palate. No shortage of effort here! Absolutely classic Mosel Auslese that should age beautifully. (JR)
On the nose ripe and fresh fruit are touching on the exotic. A hint of butterscotch reflects the ripeness of the grapes, but there is plenty of acidity to prevent any danger of cloying. A generous yet animating Auslese. (MS)
