Score 92/100 · Drink 2016-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2016

Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Bouilland. The 2013 Chassagne Montrachet 1Er Cru les Caillerets has a more complex nose than Vincent Girardin's le Cailleret: cold slate and sea cave scents filtering through the citrus fruit that feels tense and detailed. The palate is well balanced with bitter lemon on the entry, fine tension here with a marine influence tangible throughout the finish that lingers on the saline finish. This is excellent. Tasted May 2016.
