A Zin for Cabernet Sauvignon lovers, with its muscular tannins and cassis/blackberry core (Petite Sirah is 23% of the blend). Vivid fruit aromas suggest a pretty wine, yet it's powerful and structured. While lacking the black pepper character of the Teldeschi bottling, it has cinnamon/clove spice to fill in. (LM)

Bright red. Powerfully scented, spicy bouquet of raspberry, boysenberry, dried flowers, nutmeg and clove. Deeply flavored but nicely focused, offering lively red and dark fruit flavors, dusty tannins and a suave floral pastille quality. Finishes spicy and quite long. These vines were planted around 1880, according to Peterson.
