2014 Clos Mireille Rose

70% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 10% Syrah. Large old oak vats for six to eight months. RS 0.2 g/l. Very pale greyish salmon. Lightly smoky. Lots of bright fruit and good ingredients that are there in the right balance. I suspect had I not tasted this immediately after the particularly striking Ch d’Esclans, I might have been even more impressed. Good brightness of fruit and length. (JR)
