(100% vendange entier ): Healthy dark red with ruby tones. Sexy floral high notes lift aromas of black raspberry, menthol and minerals. Plush, round and deep, showing very little sign of its stem element except for a hint of herbal lift. This very rich, seamless wine is wonderfully filled in for the vintage--and for the altitude of these vines. Finishes very long, with a subtle mintiness and suave tannins. This has grand cru class as well as early accessibility.

(100% vendange entier ; 80% new oak; this wine, along with the Suchots and the RSV, was still in barrel in November; from 80-year-old vines on sandy soil with a lot of rocks): Urgent crushed-stone minerality and red fruits on the perfumed terroir -driven nose. The crushed-stone character carries through on the palate, which hints at almost exotic minerality but is very tight today and in need of a racking. This very long wine will require patience.
