Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2017-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2015

The 2014 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Baudes was picked on September 16 and includes 15% whole cluster. It has a very perfumed bouquet, refined and elegant with hints of violet and blueberry tincturing the red cherry fruit. The palate is crisp on the entry, a little tighter and sharper than the nose was implying and perhaps I was expecting a little more substance on the finish. Hopefully that will develop in time once bottled.

Five or six barrels. 15% whole cluster. 17 months in oak. Bottled. Mid to light translucent crimson. Smells both sweet-fruited and fresh. Oak is more evident on the palate in sweet spice. A little dilute in the middle. (JH)

It presents a very fragrant, refined and elegant bouquet with touches of violet and blueberry nuancing the red cherry. The palate is crunchy on the attack, a little tighter and sharper than the nose. 89-91
