La Morra. Concentrated ruby. Slightly singed if compact fruit palate. Plenty of fruit but looking older than it actually is. (WS)

Mid ruby with bricky rim. Savoury, deep nose with notes of black tea and cherry fruit. Beautiful, polished tannins framing mid-weight fruit. Elegant, sleek yet concentrated and long. (WS)

There’s a beautiful freshness and subtelty to this outstanding young Barolo with plum, chocolate, spice and hazelnut character. Full body, with silky tannins and a fresh finish. Super balanced like so many of the wines from this single vineyard. Better in 2016.

Scavino's 2010 Barolo Riserva Rocche dell'Annunziata stands out for its finesse, inner perfume and detail, all hallmarks of this great La Morra site. Freshly cut flowers, sweet red berries, mint and spices abound in a Barolo that is all about elegance. Constantly changing in the glass, the 2010 is a model of pure grace and sensuality. Sweet, silky tannins support the suave, textured finish.
