Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Clément-Pichon has an earthy nose with red and black plums and herbs hints. The medium-bodied palate is soft and lean with good purity.

While the 2015 Château Clément-Pichon started out slightly reductive and hard to read at first, it opened up with time in the glass and is a pretty, berry fruited, floral, medium-bodied 2015 that has plenty of charm and drinkability. Made by the Fayat family and a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc, aged 12 months in 40% new barrels, drink this enjoyable Haut Médoc over the coming decade or so.

92% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. Round and flattering on the nose. Lots to get your teeth into without its being too sweet – despite all that Merlot. Really very well done. Already very satisfying. (JR)
