Tasted blind. Amber colour. Sour edginess on the nose. Sour apricots/Tokaj flavours. Lots of acidity as well as the sweetness. Fades away and burnt caramel on the end. (JR)

The 2015 Château de Myrat offers yellow plum, apricot jam and marmalade aromas on a generous and powerful nose. The palate is well balanced with a honeyed texture. This is a mouth-filling Sauternes that is just missing tension and requisite acidity on the finish, hence my score. Tasted blind at the 2015 Bordeaux Ten-Year-On tasting at Farr Vintners.
The 2015 de Myrat has a very attractive, well defined bouquet of crystalline honey, orange zest scents and fine mineralité . The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, quite viscous with a slightly waxy, praline-tinged finish that lingers in the mouth. Excellent.
