The 2015 Château Lousteauneuf offers lots of oak and char in a firm, woody, charmless style.

70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot. Oxidative edge to the nose, undermining the freshness of fruit on the palate. Tannin is overzealous too. (RH)

Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Chateau Lousteauneuf feels overdone on the nose and the tannins feel tough and unyielding, bitter on the finish. I would like to revisit this as this Medoc often produces better wines than this. Tasted September 2017. Oct 2017, www.robertparker.com
