A joint venture between Ch Dassault and San Pedro. First (relatively rainy) vintage. Dark purple with a tiny bit of age on the rim. Much more restrained than the 2011. Sweet and a bit blackcurrant. Frankly, just a bit sickly. (JR)

86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Carmenère, 7% Merlot. 100% new oak. Perfumed and meaty at first nose. complex layers of tertiary meaty animal notes. Firm dry tannins but not drying. Chalky rather than velvet. Liquorice and dark chocolate on the finish. Long and rich but balancing freshness.  (JH)

Medium ruby color. Ripe and forceful on the nose, with dark plum, cherry skin and dark chocolate scents. Solid and firm, with dry-edged cherry pit and blackcurrant flavors framed by dusty tannins. Finishes with sweet, roasted cherry and plum flavors complicated by notes of leather and tobacco.
