Deep red. Spicy red fruits and candied flowers on the incisive nose and in the mouth. Juicy and light on its feet, showing Pinot-like texture and picking up a hint of white pepper in the glass. Finishes with no obvious tannins and good persistence, leaving a hint of lavender behind.
Still in barrel, the 2014 Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu is medium-bodied, elegant and balanced with complex notes of blackberries, pepper, potpourri and dried spices. It should drink well on release and evolve for 4-5 years.
