This parcel is by Grands Charrons and Chevaliers. Rich palate entry and then almost compensates for the fine acidity and determined lack of flab. I would still wait for this for quite a while however. Chewy and demanding. I wouldn’t mind a bit more juice. (JR)

Aroma of sweet lemon drop. Then rounder on the palate than the Clos des Ambres, with its bracing acidity (5.2 grams per liter!) buffered by a degree of sucrosite that's extraordinary for a chardonnay carrying just 12.4% alcohol. The strong acidity extends the wine's intense peach and pineapple fruit on the finish.
