(from Bussières, Chardannes, Les Herbues and Les Gamaires). Firm reduction. On the plus side there is once again excellent freshness and underlying tension to the delicious and subtly stony medium weight flavors that possess a dusty mouth feel, all wrapped in a balanced and inviting finale. This is very Chambolle in style. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com

The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Villages was showing some reduction on the nose, though underneath there appeared to be satisfactory red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin, surly at the moment with good depth, a touch of salinity on the blackberry and blueberry finish that bodes well for the future. I find more here than the Morey-Saint-Denis villages at this early stage. Dec 2016, www.robertparker.com
