Score 89-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Nov 2016

Bright medium red. Very primary nose hints at crushed stone and licorice. Densely packed but quite imploded; more savory than sweet, with soil-driven flavors of blueberry, licorice and spices. Should make a very stylish bottle but today the wine's strong mineral spine clashes with its tannins.
