Musky lemon and orange zest aromas are complicated by a stony element. Supple and silky on entry, then rather stony and uncompromising in the middle palate, conveying lovely vivacity but not quite the fruit sweetness of the Maltroie. Still, this wine shows the fleshiness and fine grain of 2015. Finishes with a flavor of pear drop and slowly building sweetness.

Cask sample. Racked in September for bottling in March 2017. Very juicy and quite open and approachable. Lots of energy here. Long-term potential. (JR)
Pear drop and flowers on the nose. Much more delineated in the mouth than the Boudriotte, with lemon drop and pear flavors showing a savory saline quality and a touch of smoky minerality. Not a particularly sweet style, this premier cru shows very good fruit and grip for the year. (Colin's Chassagne-Montrachet en Rémilly possesses good fruit and texture but was too reduced to rate.)
