Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2017-2023, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016

The 2015 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos du Meix has a lifted, flinty bouquet with apple blossom and fumé aromas. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity that counterbalances the roundness and generosity of this Saint-Aubin. It feels caressing in the mouth with just a hint of peach and pink grapefruit coming through on the pretty, if slightly insubstantial finish. Overall this is a fine Saint Aubin to enjoy over several years.

Pale yellow. Musky aromas of ripe apple, orange zest and toast; in a slightly oxidative phase. Fat and rich on the palate for a wine with 12.8% alcohol, with peach and apple flavors conveying a low-acid impression. A touch bitter on the finish. These vines on hard calcaire and friable clay produce small yellow grapes that ripen quickly at the end--and especially in 2015, according to Lamy.
