(these vines are located just under Bâtard-Montrachet): Pale yellow. Ripe, clean aroma of pear and flowers. Supple, rich pear and peach flavors convey a lovely impression of sucrosité countered by adequate acidity. Good concentration and material here. Finishes tactile and slightly phenolic. This rather large-scaled village wine could be enjoyed now for its rich yellow fruits.

The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet Enceignieres, from vines close to Bâtard-Montrachet, has a reserved, stony, Puligny-like bouquet that opens nicely in the glass, just a hint of blackberry leaf developing after 3-4 minutes. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, very taut and linear with a dash of spice towards the finish. It perhaps just lacks a little charm at the moment, but hopefully that will develop with time in bottle.

Very ripe, fruit-driven aromas of pear and pineapple. At once sweet and savory on the palate, with the slightly exotic fruit flavors complicated by a saline quality and a note of lichee. Nicely concentrated if a bit aggressive and edgy on the back end.
