Vibrant scents of peach, menthol and wet stone. A step up in juiciness and energy from the Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs Gain, with its peach and stone flavors showing excellent definition and intensity. Best today on the precise, subtly building finish, which calls for a bit of patience.

The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne has a crisp citrus, green apple and melted butter-scented bouquet that offers fine delineation in the context of the vintage. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, yellow fruit here with hints of hazelnut that lend it an almost Meursault-like personality, with a spicy finish.
