The 2015 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Quartz shows the more structured, straight style of the vintage beautifully. Classic notes of garrigue, kirsch, orange blossom, and peppery herbs all give way to a full-bodied Châteauneuf that has ripe yet present tannins, terrific balance, and one heck of a finish. It doesn’t have the blockbuster style of the 2016, yet it’s more elegant and pretty. It will benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age, but it’s going to age beautifully.

A blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Syrah, the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Quartz is plump and juicy—highly appealing for its bright berries and crisp acids. Yet it's also rich and concentrated, with velvety tannins that linger on the finish.

Deep ruby. Smoke- and spice-accented aromas of raspberry, boysenberry and cherry pit, backed by a suave floral nuance. Juicy and precise on the palate, offering sharply focused, densely packed red and blue fruit and cola flavors and a hint of succulent herbs. A minerally nuance adds lift and focus to the youthfully tannic, focused finish, which clings with superb intensity.
