73% Mataro, 12% Syrah, 11% Grenache, 4% Cinsault. Very deep crimson. Rich, macerated violets nose and then strong acidity in a damson sort of way on the palate. Massive acid in fact. I wonder if some was added? A little unbalanced and youthful at present. But there is a very charming nose and no heaviness whatsoever. (JR)

(73% mataro, 12% syrah, 11% grenache and 4% cinsault): Bright purple. Heady aromas of fresh blackberry, blueberry and licorice are complicated by pungent notes of vanilla, incense and allspice. Lush, intensely flavored and seamless, offering deep dark berry and cherry compote flavors and a suave floral nuance. Finishes supple and very long, with resonating spiciness, a hint of candied flowers and sweet, even tannins.
