Score 88/100 · Drink 2018-2026, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Aug 2018

The 2016 Pouilly-Fuissé offers up aromas of pastry cream and ripe citrus fruits, framed by subtle reduction. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, satiny and tangy. It isn't as pure and defined as the superb 2015 rendition, but it's a very creditable introductory cuvée from Domaine Ferret.

(from parcels in Fuissé; 50% aged in barrels of two to five years of age): Pale, bright yellow. Inviting scents of orange zest, lemon and spices. The palate offers an attractive amalgam of juicy acidity and slightly exotic citrus zest character. Doesn't show the personality of the estate's top bottlings but nicely done. The lightly saline finish shows a light touch. Incidentally, Braccini told me that her 2016s typically have 4.2 or 4.3 grams per liter of acidity, "about the same as the 2015s."
