The 2016 Grüner Veltliner Meeresboden is very pretty, offering up noes of white pepper, almond cream and subtle apricot, followed by a medium-bodied, saline and acid-driven palate. It's a bright, tensile wine with a saline edge.

The 2016 Grüner Veltliner Meeresboden is intensely stony and mineral, with a real sense of phenolic drive that underpins the varietal fruit. Far from an easygoing white, the Meeresboden is going to need at least a year or two to show at its best. In 2016, the Meeresboden is a real overachiever. Picking this fruit across a range of dates helped achieve notable complexity and nuance.
