The 2013 Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a very pixelated bouquet and fulfills the promise that is showed last year in barrel. There is wonderful definition here - simultaneously intense and elegant. The palate is fresh and tensile, sour lemon mixed with orange rind, very harmonious with great depth, with a long and tender finish that goes on and on. Always one of my favorite white Burgundy wines, the 2013 continues that tradition. Tempting now, but please wait...please?

Bright, pale yellow. Very rich, slightly exotic aromas of ripe peach, orange and caraway seed. Rich, round and mouthfilling but with plenty of acidity to lift the middle palate and draw out the finish. This seamless, fine-grained wine is also very young and in need of aging.
